Who issues the trademark?
The trademark is issued by Certitex srl, a certification centre, that is to say an independent institution, who is checking the compliance to the standard of the trademark during a visit to the company and decides the issuing.
What is the workflow for the release of the trademark?
In order to obtain the trademark the company having products that could be certified (that is to say end products corresponding to one of the Seri.co Technical Cards product typologies) should follow the standard regulation for the issuing of the trademark, available in the document “Disciplinare del Marchio Seri.co” (Seri.co Disciplinary Regulations).
Practically it is necessary to check if the product quality is corresponding to the requirements of the Technical Cards, if the company is observing the requirements for environmental care, health and safety, social behaviour code and code of conduct.
Then it is necessary to forward the certification enquiry to Certitex, an institution committed by Centro Tessile Serico to carry on the activity of company certification and qualification. Certitex visits the company once in order to issue the certification and then recurrently to audit the company.
How can the company deploy the procedures for the issuing of the trademark?
The Centro Tessile Serico offers a consultancy service to the companies who want to obtain the trademark. Practically the company gets in touch with Centro Tessile Serico who is paying them a first visit to discuss in details all aspects of the trademark and its issue.
If the company decides to start the workflow for the certification the Centro Tessile Serico will assist the company until the presentation of the certification enquiry.
What products are subject to trademark?
The trademark can be shown on all fabrics whose quality requirements correspond to the Technical Cards of the trademark.

How to subscribe to the Register of the qualified companies?
In order to subscribe to the register it is necessary to forward the enquiry to Certitex with the bound to respect the Seri.co requirements. Then a visit to the company for the issuing of the certification takes place, followed by recurrent audits.
What are the main advantages for the Seri.co companies?
The Seri.co companies have many benefits and services free of charge such as:
- Consultancy and constant updating of the product requirements: Quality features of the Technical Cards and eco-toxicological features (Seri.co Technical Card #24);
- Yearly visit free of charge to design a control plan to grant a constant monitoring of the product quality and/or their producing process;
- Continuous updating of the subjects relevant for the company, throughout meetings, trainings and seminaries in accordance with the market demands;
- 10% discount on the tests in the pricelist of the Centro Tessile Serico Laboratories;
- 15% discount on the testing on reaction to fire (also those for the ministry homologation);
- 5% discount on all services of Centro Tessile Serico different form the tests (system consultancy, technical consultancy, not financed training);
- 15% discount on all tests for the Oeko – Tex certification carried out by the Centro Tessile Cotoniero spa;
- Option to receive a visit for the Seri.co qualification and for the tracking system certification following ITF model (Italian Textile Fashion);
- Promotion of the company in the web site www.seri.co.it, the magazine La seta – supplement Seri.co and during the activities for the presentation of the trademark.
